Privacy Policy

1What stays on your device

Your session history, streak, activity calendar and preferences are written to your device's own storage and are not transmitted to us. Deleting the app removes them. If your device backs itself up to iCloud, that copy is held under Apple's terms, not ours.

2What we collect

Three categories, all gathered automatically — there are no forms and nothing you are asked to submit:

Device identifiers. A random identifier that our analytics tool creates on your device the first time Weya opens, and the per-installation identifier your operating system attaches to crash reports. Both exist only to count installations and de-duplicate reports. Neither is your name, phone number or advertising ID, and we never combine them with data from anywhere else.

Crash logs. The error, device model, OS version and app version when the app fails, so we can fix defects.

Usage analytics. Product events sent to Mixpanel, our analytics provider, so we can see which parts of Weya are used and where people stop. The events are: the app being opened or sent to the background (and which screen was showing), a preset being chosen, a session being started, completed or abandoned together with its timing settings (prepare, move, rest, rounds, sets), and the appearance theme being changed. Each event also carries your device model, OS version, app version, language and screen size, and Mixpanel may derive a country- or city-level location from the connection's IP address, which it does not keep. Events are never linked to your session history or to anything that identifies you.

We do not collect your name, email, phone or address. We do not read Apple Health, Google Fit or Health Connect. We do not collect location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera. Weya is free, so we never handle payment information.

3Why we may do this

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies: legitimate interests — keeping Weya stable and secure, and understanding in aggregate how a free app with no accounts is used — for identifiers, crash logs and usage analytics; consent where your platform or local law requires it for analytics. Weya works fully without analytics, and you can end all collection at any time by deleting the app.

4Who else sees it

We do not sell your data or share it with advertising networks or data brokers. Two companies process data on our behalf: Apple, as the platform that distributes Weya and supplies crash reports, and Mixpanel, Inc. (San Francisco, USA), which stores and aggregates the usage events described above on servers in the United States under a data-processing agreement and standard contractual clauses. Mixpanel's own privacy policy is at mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy. Beyond that, only authorities where we are legally required to disclose. Any third party we share data with must provide the same or equal protection as this policy describes.

5Your rights

You may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, object to our use of it, withdraw consent and complain to your data protection authority. There is an honest limit: because Weya has no accounts, we hold nothing that identifies you and usually cannot connect a request to specific records. The two most effective steps are yours — delete the app, which removes all on-device data and stops every event, and turn off diagnostic sharing in your device's privacy settings to stop crash reports. If you want the usage events from your installation erased from Mixpanel, email us and we will have them deleted wherever we can identify them.

6Children

Weya contains no advertising, no purchases, no social features and no user-to-user content, and we profile no one. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Where consent is required for analytics and the user is below the age of digital consent, a parent or guardian must give it, and can end collection at any time by deleting the app.

7Security and retention

Our main protection is collecting almost nothing. What we receive travels over encrypted connections; on-device data is protected by your operating system's sandbox and device encryption. Crash logs are kept for 90 days. Usage events, and the random identifier attached to them, are kept by Mixpanel for up to five years and then deleted automatically; aggregated statistics are kept indefinitely. No system is perfectly secure.

8Changes and contact

If we change how we handle data we will update this page and move the effective date, and announce material changes in the app first. Questions and requests: weya.support@gmail.com. We aim to reply within 30 days.
